I moved!

The end of an era… The residents of 135 William Street, Apt 8A are moving out, and moving on.  It’s a sad time, but it’s necessary.  There’s only so much time 5 guys can live together in one apartment.

I started looking for apartments in NYC, and quickly realized New York’s real estate style isn’t for me.  For a few reasons, but mostly because I don’t like to rush into anything.  If you’re looking for a single apartment, and have a specific move in date, you basically have a 2-3 week window to find a place.  For someone who takes 10 minutes just to weigh the pros and cons of the cereal he buys, it just wasn’t going to work out.

So, I decided to move back to LI for the summer, or until I can find the apartment in NYC that’s right for me.  This works on many levels.  First, no one is around during the summer in NYC, so there’s really no reason for me to be there.  Second, I can work from where ever I damn well please, and be just as productive.  Third, the new apartment I moved into in Seaford is owned by my cousin,  so the rent is $Free.99!  Fourth, the city is just a train ride away, with the Seaford LIRR being 2 blocks from my apartment.  And, most importantly, I will be moving back to NYC.  I love it there.  And, with my cousin’s wife as a new realtor, I’ll have a head start when the time comes to find the right apartment.

For now, I have absolutely no problem living on Long Island.  I’ll get to see my family more.  And, I’ll get to see some of my little sisters lax games.  She made Varsity as a freshman!

I’ll post pictures of the new place later today.
