The Numbers Game
Today’s life expectancy is 78. I’ve lived 26 years already. If I measured my life, and the opportunities presented to me in terms of years, it looks like I only have about 52 remaining, give or take.
I choose to see things a little differently. Each year is 12, months. Each month has 4 weeks, 52 total. Each week has 7 days, 365/366 depending on the year. Each day has 24 hours, about 8,760 total. Every hour has 60 minutes, 525,600 total. Every minute has 60 seconds, 31,536,000 total. I’ll stop there.
So, looking at it this way, and knowing that every single second is another opportunity for me. I have about 1,639,872,000 opportunities remaining in my life. I’m very ok with that.
